Denver -3 at 7-6 as they host the Bengals who are also 7-6. The Bengals have to feel like they should’ve won last weeks game after their own mistakes cost them against the 49ers. They are scoring 27.2 a game, allowing 22.5, but they face the 6th ranked defense in the Broncos today. It’s been a while since the Bengals had games that really matter in December, but as a Bengals fan I’m glad to see they have made this progress. It’s been turnovers and penalties that have beat them when they have lost this year, they are -4 for the year in turnover differential. When those mistakes haven’t been there this team has exceeded the expectations of most.
The Broncos are 0-3 vs. AFC North teams this year, scoring less than 20 in each of those games. This is the type of situation where if Bridgewater is gonna end up being the guy in Denver you need to win. The defensive side of things has been the determining factor for the Broncos this year, allowing 17 or less in the wins and over 17 in each of their losses.
