Brooklyn enters the Play-In as a -400 money line favorite. Winners of 3 of 4 vs. Cleveland this season. It looks like Allen will still be out as workouts have him favoring his broken finger, but CavsNation seems to think he may end up giving it a go essentially one handed. The line for the game is 8.5 and the regular season matchups would’ve covered in half of those games, two double digit victories and a five point win along with one loss to the Cavs this year of course having varied starting line ups for the Nets.
The interesting under story to the game especially if Allen is to give it go is that Lavert and Allen were traded in the Harden deal. Which essentially has them with Simmons on the bench in place of Harden along with Curry and Drummond may play a big part in whatever happens.
I’m not sure there is a scenario in which many NBA fans give Cleveland a realistic chance to leave Barclay Center with a victory. As for me I’d have to see the Cavs win to believe it in this game that actually matters here, but my picks are Brooklyn -400 and Cleveland +8.5
