Sunday Baseball

The Reds appear to have gone from the purgatory of just above .500 ball and still not making the playoffs to the cellar of the NL Central. The Reds look to avoid the sweep in early in the season of what appears to be a long summer with key players already on the IL. 92% of the consensus money coming in on the under as Wainwright takes the mound for St. Louis against the lefty Lodolo for the Reds. Lodolo the Reds 7th overall pick from the 2019 draft, at 6′ 6″ Cincinnati is on the lookout for him to be their Randy Johnson of the future. Wainwrights two starts against the Reds last year led to 6 and 3 earned runs. My pick is the Reds avoid the early season home sweep, Reds + 130, and +1.5 runs -130, but they have lost 11 in row already being swept by the Dodgers and Padres on their west coast massacre. The only thing on a bigger losing streak than them is my picks here…. I had to break out my Larry Bird jersey for my dog walk this morning, even though I lost my small wager I’ve not seen defense like that since I was wearing rec specs in little league b-ball.
