So last night ended up in two blowouts, I was wrong on both games and sometimes that happens. Game 5 for the Celtics was in their grasps but slipped away as the Bucks won a game where they looked like they were going to lose for most of the way. They have a chance to close things out tonight at home and them in this situation for the series is about the same as Boston with the lead late in game 5, if they lose it won’t be over but it would be a tremendous letdown. I don’t expect it to come easy and when you see the line -1 and -116 for the Bucks, you see the odds makers have this thing as even match no points being given for home court. Anyone who has watched the first 5 games of this series wouldn’t be surprised if the Celtics win, but my pick is Bucks -1, -116.
The Warriors have now struggled two games since the Morant injury leading under a minute in game 4 and then the 39 point blowout in game 5 has us back to game 6. Steve Kerr is out once again with Covid protocols.
The question moving forward for the Warriors who are the favorites to win the championship is if the size of the remaining Western Conference teams will bother them as neither Phoenix or Dallas is a small team. They haven’t seemed to have an answer for the size that the Grizzlies have thrown at them either and before that they have to close things out here. Games 4 and 5 are what they were and they won’t be playing them again, tonight once again I see the best play as Warriors -370 money line, and while that is a hefty price tag laying the -8 is also a bit of a heavy price. My pick is the Warriors close this thing out -370. While them covering the -8 wouldn’t be a surprising outcome in a home close out game as some 61% of the money is on them to cover that big number and they will not want things back in Memphis for game 7 where home teams have a history of being victorious.
