The Mavericks shocked the sports world in the 2nd round of playoffs in coming back from an 0-2 deficit to win a seven game series against a team that had then beaten them 11 times in a row. Give the credit not just to the players but the front office in Reggie Bullock and Dinwiddie. Bullock may not have been the defensive player of the year, but that didn’t include the playoffs. A lot of the credit must be given to Jason Kidd as well who took the “point god” and showed him what it takes to win a championship. Just saying maybe Kidd was a bit underrated as one of the best point guards all time and the mental side of his game is showing up in the defensive adjustments the Mavs are making. That being said they also gave Curry some problems in the regular season with the Mavs winning 3 of 4 from the Warriors though not always at their full strength. Though I am picking the Warriors to win game 1 here where they are -200 money line it should be noted that they are only -200 favorites to win the series and that is the odds makers showing a lot of credit to Dallas otherwise game 1 would be -400 and so would the series price. Not sure if the Mavericks size will be a matchup issue with the Warriors usual best closing lineup or if they end up with Looney on the floor more in the series. My pick tonight is the Warriors -200 and who really knows about the spread.
As always Best of Luck and Enjoy your Wednesday.
