We won’t be seeing Trevor Lawrence or Etienne in this one for the Jaguars. For the Raiders Coach Mc Daniels played his high school football at this stadium. We know with this being week 1 of the preseason we won’t see the starters for too long. For their career Mc Daniels was 0-2 and Pederson 1-3 in preseason week 1 games. I would look to the QB depth chart for both teams possibly here – Raiders have Carr, Jared Stidham, Nick Mullens and Garber – Jaguars have Lawrence not playing, CJ Beathard, Jake Luton, and Kyle Sloter. So we have a lot more experience in the Raiders QB room here and we could see a lot of guys who were both 49ers now in back up roles and possibly competing for that back up role to stay off the practice squad depending on how many QBs the teams keep as cuts are made.
Where the early money is going on this one? ATS Raiders -2.5 taking in 59 % of the consensus money here, as for the Money Line -140 (No Spread) Raiders taking in 93 % of that early money. As for the total we have 82 % of the early bets(before game day being early) on that under and an adjustment caused by that from 33 1/2 to 30 1/2.
Since 2000 the Hall of Fame Game would’ve gone under the 30.5 number 11 times and over it 8 times along with one cancelled for lock out and one cancelled for COVID-19. Just some food for thought if your planning on a total wager.
Preseason is one of those things where we may have coaches on both sides honestly more worried about evaluating talent than getting a win, however a pick for making a pick in the first preseason game of the year is Las Vegas Raiders -2.5. You can watch on NBC or on the Peacock App or NBCsports.com.
