NFL Week 10 – The Griff Report

Seattle vs. Tampa Bay (Germany) Buccaneers -2.5 Tampa Bay in Germany to face the red hot Seahawks. On this game I know Seattle has played better but I’m going with Tampa Bay 20-17. Buccaneers -2.5

Jacksonville vs. Kansas City – Chiefs -9.5, right here the Chiefs are capable of winning by double digits but with the big number I’m taking the underdog by default. Prediction 31-23 Chiefs- Jaguars +9.5

Houston vs. New York Giants – Giants -4.5, a new role as the Giants now laying their biggest number of the season? Are they ready for a cover? The movement from -6 to -4.5 is really usually useless as 4 and 7 are the way things usually shake out, but there is 70% consensus on the Giants to cover the number. You can expect a heavy dose of the run game as the Giants go for 161 on the ground and the only ones getting more done that on the ground is the team the Texans defense are playing at 180 a game given up. The Giants only scoring 20 a game and with the points and a run heavy favorite I’ll take the Texans, my prediction 20-16 Giants. Houston +4.5

Saints vs. Steelers – Pittsburgh +1 Steelers come in off the bye week, they get Watt back and with the Steelers having the extra preparation time there is 75% of early consensus money on the Steelers. I’ve seen the Saints move the ball up and down the field on every one and they are still scoring 23.6 facing a team scoring 15 and giving up 26 a game. 30-18 Saints – New Orleans -1

Detroit vs. Chicago – Bears -2.5 Well Detroit played good last week and we’ll see how the run defense stands up to what the Bears strength is. 7 of last 8 to the Bears I’ll take them 23-17 Bears. Chicago -2.5

Cleveland vs. Miami – Dolphins -3.5 – Well last time out Cleveland’s pass defense looked pretty good against the Bengals and they are getting to the QB. They are also built to keep that high flying touchdown dancing unit waiting on the Browns to finish running the Ball. With everyone riding on the Dolphins here seemingly I honestly think the Browns with Brissett playing against his team from last year may have chance, My prediction 27-24 Dolphins – Cleveland +3.5

Minnesota vs. Buffalo – Bills-6.5 – With Allen healthy I’ll still take the Vikings here, My prediction 24-20 Bills, Vikings +6.5

Denver vs. Tennessee – Titans -2.5 Most likely first one to 20 wins in a game where the teams average 15.1 and 18.6(TEN). It was 16-14 Titans way, last year Total at 39. The Titans looked like they controlled the line of scrimmage in KC but Denver is off the bye week and in more of a desperation spot coming off the bye week. My prediction 19-17 Broncos. Denver +2.5

Indianapolis vs. Las Vegas – Raiders -4.5 – Well I still believe the Raiders to be the better team, well see with the Colts in turmoil and questions about even McDaniels in Las Vegas. Last year the Raiders beat them 23-20 in Indy… and Indy may surprise a lot of people if they win but my prediction 27-20 Raiders. Las Vegas -4.5

Arizona vs. Los Angeles Rams – 2 I know both teams need this game but the Rams have won 12 of 15 against the Rams. 27-17 Rams. Los Angeles -2.

Dallas vs. Green Bay – Cowboys -4 – Dallas has Dak back and is looking great. Rodgers has won 8 of his last 10 vs. Dallas. The Packers aren’t playing real good but as the season goes on you’ve got a Hall of Famer getting young receivers on the same page. Detroit had been getting beat up by him and made a some adjustments we’ll see how this one goes. My prediction 20-17 Packers. Green Bay +4

Los Angeles Chargers vs. San Francisco – 49ers -7.5 The reason this number is so big is how the Seahawks ran all over the Chargers. The 49ers have a star at every position seemingly along with the number 1 defense. While the 49ers are a really good team I still have the Chargers as a playoff team, we’ll see how they fare here, my prediction 27-23 49ers, Los Angeles +7.5
