9-24-23 College Football

ND vs. Ohio State – This is big time college football and the number surprising low based on where Ohio State has been the last decade. Low number might mean the Irish are a threat to win at home. Hartman looks to be able to move the ball and Estime looked like Jerome Bettis for a play or two against Nc State, but this is new level of competition with OSU here. Notre Dame +3

12 PM – FSU @ Clemson – The Seminoles looked like a playoff team vs. LSU, Clemson has been the top team in ACC for a decade but with Norvell it looks like they are due to be a top 5 team for his tenure. This one of two big time games where its almost a pick em. This game may signify the Noles as taking back the top of the ACC. Florida State -1.5

12 PM – VT @ Marshall off to a rough start and look to turn it around here, Marshall is good but I would expect better showing than  Rutgers and Purdue, who are pretty good teams – Pick Virginia Tech +4.5

12 PM -OU @ Cincinnati– Tough game on the road laying 14 here for the Sooners, they are good and this Cincinnati team just got beat by Miami Ohio. Not getting a lot of love in the polls yet but my pick is Oklahoma -14.

12 PM -Tulsa @ Northern Illinois – Small school game at Northern Illinois. Tulsa +4

7:30 PM – Miss St. @ South Carolina and anything can happen in the SEC, while we see more parity in the league and in CFB as a whole. South Carolina looked like they would knock off Georgia for a half a game. They will be getting better as things move on. MSU had as tough of a game as they will face last week vs. LSU. My reason for taking the Bulldogs is Will Rogers already in the record books, he is a veteran QB vs Rattler, Beamer who are good but this is the toughest league in CFB. Mississippi State +6

7:30 PM -Texas @ Baylor The Longhorns another program on the rise, covering the big spread can be hazardous as always.  It was 38-27 last season in November. My pick Texas -14.5

7 PM ESPN + Middle Tennessee vs. Colorado St. MTSU played Missouri close they are hosting Colorado State. MTSU -3

Bonus play- I usually don’t pick totals, and these are add on games for the SEC Conference games, the others in non conference I left off.

12 pm – Kentucky gets its first test of season. Last November it was Vanderbilt in an upset, but my play here goes back to Stoops being a defensive guy from Florida State. The Cats have alternated with wins that are by enough to cover the -13 here, but my pick is the UNDER 51

Texas A&M vs Auburn- The SEC West is always tough so I’m putting picks here just because its the top league in CFB. My pick is Texas A&M – 8.5

LSU vs. Arkansas- Last year it went 13-10 at Arkansas with the Tigers escaping with a 3 point win. This year there are a lot of play makers out for the Hogs, and LSU is at home and very good. My Pick LSU -17.5

Mississippi at Alabama, well if Lane Kiffin is going to beat Bama this might be his best chance so far. My Pick Mississippi +7

As Always best of luck and enjoy your Saturday.
