Clemson vs. Arizona – Clemson the big underdog here against a really good Arizona team. We didn’t see as many second round upsets as we have seen in recent years but Clemson was impressive in their win as underdog in round 2. The role the Tigers are in here they are 7-1 as underdogs this season. Clemson is a senior lead unit and will most likely be a tough out right here. Arizona also with Larsson their senior guard and after seeing how well the Pac-12 has done in the tournament might’ve been a 1 seed if the top wasn’t so stacked this year from teams with returning players. Both teams have front court senior stars as well so this could go either way as the Wildcats have the team capable of a cover here. We see a bit of tricky movement here as the bookmaker moves from -6 to -7 despite 58% of the action on the underdog +7. The money line is only 14% on the underdogs with heavy -315 price for the Wildcats. I’ll take Clemson in the underdog role here and hope their seniors come to play with a goal of winning outright instead of going home, plus with the extra rest time they should have their normal preparation time from the season.

San Diego State vs. U Conn – Rematch of last years title game and the spread is gigantic -11.5 the Huskies winning the title game by 17. The money still going on UConn 74% consensus laying the -11.5. No one is going to make a living betting against this Huskies team. Despite the really good defense by San Diego State I’m not picking against UConn and I wouldn’t try that huge money line.
634: CBB: Connecticut -11½-115
Alabama vs. North Carolina – UNC -4.5 is taking 83% consensus. Why they have a veteran team who just let Michigan State take a double digit lead early but by half time were up 9 en route to a blow out win. Alabama is slightly dangerous but hasn’t fared well against top 10 teams. The Tide are good but not as good as last year and they just beat Charleston and Grand Canyon this is North Carolina. I’ll take the Tar Heels.

Illinois vs. Iowa State – Cyclones -1.5 here as this one is a toss up. The consensus on Illinois here 63% on them. Iowa State is at the top of the nation in defense and they are going to need it here. These Cyclones are playing really great ball right now and I just have to give the edge to them because of their defense. They opened -160 money line that is down now to -122. This is one where you know these are two really good teams evenly matched. We’ll see because Illinois played a tough conference as well but I’ll stick with the Cyclones in a close one.
