Another game that could literally go any which way is this game in Houston. Jacksonville the favorite, with Urban Meyer making his pro coaching debut, and Trevor Lawrence making his pro debut. For Houston they may have ended up in better position at the QB position than I originally thought, Tyrod Taylor who has now another shot after the pectoral injury stopped his last starting job. For what recent years history matters for this one its been 6 wins in a row for Houston. I know that Watson is a great QB when playing, but Taylor has a 39-32-1 record, in 72 career games, 26-19-3 ATS as a starter, and 25-22-1 as a starter. Those with the Ravens, Bills, Browns and Chargers including one playoff appearance.
For Jacksonville its new pieces and they are laying -3, -150ML on the road in a division game here. While Lawrence is talked about as a generational talent, two have won 13 games in their rookie season, however those teams were considered to have a more talented roster than this Jaguars squad. I think Jacksonville may sneak out a close one or it’ll be an outright upset.
My prediction is that this is probably a low scoring game my guess 20-19 Jaguars. My pick Houston +3.
