San Francisco starts the season in Detroit for one of two 1pm starts on the road to begin this season. They come in heavy favorites -9, -370 with the total sitting at 45. The only problem laying that big number is the 49ers are trying to be one of the top running teams, which even if they get a lead then makes covering that number possibly hazardous. They do have some changes at starters in their secondary, which was previously a unit that gave Goff problems during his tenure in LA.
Goff is career 3-5, with 14 TD and 6 INT with an 88 passer rating vs San Francisco, 15-10 with 33 TD and 18 INT vs NFC West(they play them all this year) He is on a new team now and will look to defeat a familiar foe for him. It seems as though everyone is on the 49ers here and most can’t possible fathom it not being a double digit victory, however I disagree. My prediction 24-20 49ers win a close one, and I believe for some reason that Detroit might believe they have a shot at winning here.
