Bengals vs. Ravens

Baltimore -6, -275, total at 47, +225(CIN). Five straight in the series, 7 of 10 in this AFC North battle. The Bengals sit at 4-2, but the only way any one is really going to consider them a contender is winning games like this. Last year Cincinnati only put up 3 points in each of the games. 32.2 a game for Baltimore during that 5 game series win streak, only 11.4 for the Bengals during that time. Of course Coach Taylor has had to completely rebuild as things went from Marvin Lewis with Taylor taking over in 2019. With al the talk about how well the Bengals have played offensively its easy to overlook a defense that is 11th in the league, 5th in points allowed at 18.5, 7th in yard per rush at 3.9 per attempt. If they are to turn things around obviously that will have to continue. Burrow only played one game vs the Ravens last year, the other he was sidelined with the injury. He was sacked 7 times in that game, went 19 of 30 for 183 with no TDs and 1 INT, and a 66.4 passer rating. This season he has been sacked 16 time for 2 2/3 per game. They will need to keep Burrow well protected if they are to solve the Ravens defense.

Jackson has damaged the Bengals in his six games he has faced them on the ground and the air for 442 yards rushing, 6.6 YPC, and 150 YPG passing with 8 TDs, 3 INT and a 96.2 rating. He lost the first and has won 5 straight versus Cincinnati. In his six games the Ravens have scored 31.3 per game vs the Bengals.

Until the Bengals show the world they can compete with this Baltimore squad its hard to imagine them doing that on Sunday. I think they put a better effort up here, but like the Steelers game where they went up and won on both sides of the ball, I’ve got to see it to believe it. My prediction 30-24 Ravens.
