With all the excitement of the first 4 games of the series teams that lead a best-of-seven series 3-2 go on to win the series 85.6% of the time (172-29). Boston yet to lose two games in a row this post season, truly the mark of a great team. They face a team that was could’ve had five rings had it not been for the Andrew Bogut injury, (forgotten after the Cleveland 1-3 comeback), and the injuries to Thompson and Durant causing the loss to Toronto. The Warriors are 8-1 at home this postseason, the lone loss a game 1 loss of this series to the Celtics that had the Warriors blow a 12 point lead heading into the 4th.
Game 4 the Celtics had the Warriors seemingly on the ropes for 3 quarters but it was Golden State tying the series, retaking home court advantage and returning home with momentum. A lot of people felt the Celtics are too big at every position, amazingly Kerr countered that with a smaller lineup to start game 4. We still haven’t seen a huge game from Thompson who some thought is a top 75 All-time NBA player, and Green hasn’t hit shots that you would expect are going to fall at some point in a long series. This is a brand new best of 3 series from this point, my pick is Warriors -3.5 and Warriors -160.
As always Best Of Luck and enjoy your Monday.
