My opinion of course won’t make anything happen as sometimes we expect a team to crush the other and underestimate a team that has earned their way into one of the top leagues in the world. Aston Villa vs. Everton
It was a losing via shutout week 1 for Aston Villa 0-2 in a losing effort at Bournemouth, Everton went down 0-1 to Chelsea as well. Recent history favors The Villans here as they have 4w and 2d last six vs. Everton. Everton have failed to score in each of their last three away Premier League matches against Aston Villa, attempting 38 shots without success. Everton won just two away Premier League games in 2021-22. The only stat of previous history that would concern you is Everton are unbeaten in their first away league game in each of the last 11 seasons (W5 D6) and they’ve lost both of their opening two league games in just one of the last 31 top-flight campaigns, doing so in 2009-10. Taking that into consideration I think both teams score here after being held to clean sheets week 1. Aston is definitely a danger to win as the odds have them -120, with both sides needing a point on the table my pick is a draw here at +250.
