Everyone seems ready to anoint Jacksonville as the favorite in the AFC South, but before we worry about all the rest of the games they play here is this one game in Indianapolis. Lawrence is 2-2 vs. the Horse Shoes but he is 0-2 in the dome. This is a new look Colts team however, and the question is really how productive can they be on offense? The Colts drafted who they did but what kind of offense can Richardson really run in the NFL? I would imagine similar to Lamar Jackson in his first year down in Baltimore. While Richardson has all the combine stats he still struggled against teams like Kentucky and Georgia while at Florida.
Situationally the Colts had the Jags number in Indy almost as well as the Jags have the Titans number in Jacksonville. There is something to be said for environment but I really am going against all the history stats because new coach, new QB, and no Taylor for the Colts. The Jags have the most likely QB to have a long run a top a division and they somehow made the playoffs last year.
I don’t like laying a spread on the road in a division game, where the road team doesn’t historically play well in that city but here were are. There is a game still to be played and even then a cover isn’t always coming with a win, but who else could you really pick here?
