There are seemingly low expectations for a Tennessee team that has been contenders with the same Coach and core group. Sure they didn’t make it past the Chiefs but they have competed right at the top of the AFC falling off slightly from that pack last year. They have 3 playoff appearances and 2 division titles going into this Vrabel’s 6th season in Nashville. The loss of AJ Brown last year and then key injuries derailed them along with a long streak of not winning in Jacksonville. Still Tannehill first in franchise passer rating, and Henry entering the company of Hall of Fame stats approaching Earl Campbell and Eddie George.
Questions on the Saints team as Kamara is out for this one, and it Coach Allen back with Derek Carr at QB. I am not sure really anyone knows how good or bad this team will be but it’ll likely be up to Carr because the Titans bring in the number one team opponent rush yards per game from last year.
With all the unknowns in New Orleans I have to side with the underdog and the points here as I feel this game is likely the Titans maybe are the better roster on paper at least. We will just have to see the Saints ability to perform.
The Titans will hope to get things off to a better start than when the Giants came to Nashville last year week 1.
My Prediction 21-19 Titans
Tennessee +3.5
