The Magic are not catching the public in this matchup. They split four with the Cavs in the season each 1-1 on the others home court. I’m taking the Magic money line as the under dog in game 1 and 2 as I feel they head back to Orlando 1-1 in this thing.
The most untalked about stat of the first round? The disparity in the head to head matchup for the Suns vs. Minnesota. Yea they are the higher seed but the Suns have won 4 in row 11 of 12 vs. the Wolves. Things get too hot for the Wolves here we may very well be looking at the NBA version of Dick Vitale’s “Upset City”. The oddsmakers have foreshadowed this in the almost even line for the game 1.
New York, New York big city of dreams, here come the playoffs and things may not be as they seem. Why no Julius Randle and the 76ers are healthy. NY won the season series 3-1 but they are on upset alert. I look for the 76ers show they were the roster and team picked to be where the Knicks are, in fact only 3 games back. Healthy teams run the NBA playoffs and I don’t think your payoff is with the Knicks in the series.
Lakers looking avoid 9 straight losses to the Nuggets. They at least have momentum on their side, but Denver is hands down the best team in the West. The Lakers will get a few games and may steal game 1 but the best team wins in the NBA series almost always. The advantage goes LA’s way in that they are healthy and another round would’ve worn them down facing Denver in a late round. Look for the Lakers to at least take this thing to 6 games here as they have improved role players. LA money line is a popular pick up to 45% of the money line action. Meaning you either lay off the Nuggets or hop on the bandwagon. We’ll be able to tell about 3rd quarter once the shit talking really gets going once the Lakers try to land a few swift punches to the mouth of Denver just to let them know its a series tonight.
