San Francisco -6 coming off a huge win on Monday Night against the Rams where they got Kittle and few guys back and have started to look like the team we thought they would be prior to this season. They get the Jaguars who in the past two weeks have beat the Bills and played the Colts tough.
With San Francisco’s record they are a must win against a Jags team that the line, the public and most talent evaluators think they should win. Jimmy G leads the NFL in passer rating since week 8. Samuel has gone for 50 + yards each game this year and last week put on display his ability to catch and take it to the house. This team has gone down to the last second field goal in losing to Green Bay as a barometer for how close they are to the top of the conference.
The Jags pass defense has stepped up the past 3 games, but last game Jimmy G only 19 pass attempts and plenty of running from the 49ers. Jacksonville going for 119 rush yards per game, San Fran 117.9 per game. Both these teams are low in 3rd down conversions, SF 24th, JAX 32nd with just over 30 percent.
Nothing guaranteed here as we saw with the Buffalo game and them keeping it close against the Indy, I think the only thing going against SF here is the early start for the west coast team. My prediction 24-18, 49ers.
